Welcome to the beginning of one of the simplest, yet most difficult projects I've been assigned. My name is Jeannely Rivera, I'm a 9th grade student at West Orange High School. I like playing soccer and watching Netflix WAY too much. I don't have many hobbies mainly because balancing hobbies and school isn't the easiest thing to do. School takes up the majority of my day which doesn't leave much room for activities. Once piled with all the homework and studying of all 7 classes, (not including chores and responsibilities at home), you can probably assume how easy it is to not have much time left for hobbies.
I have been assigned a project in which I need to discover a passion of mine or what matters to me. When I was asked that question one simple answer came to mind, medicine. I was always passionate about the thought of being a doctor or a surgeon, but more recently the idea of becoming a paramedic is even more intriguing to me.
After doing some searching on Tedx I've become more interested in the way people function and the way the human brain works. I'm more interested in peoples emotions and the reason behind them. Through this project I hope to learn more about the way our brains work. I also hope to find some other things i'm equally as passionate about.
